Authorized MSHA Trainer

Annual refresher training of employees working at open pit mines

Each miner must receive a minimum of 8 hours of annual refresher training at least once every 12 months. Training must include instruction on changes at the mine that could adversely affect the miner’s health or safety. Refresher training must also address other health and safety subjects relevant to the mine.

Ergonomic Evaluations and Associated Training

Improve Efficiency & Productivity

The intention for ergonomic evaluations should always be with an eye for improving efficiency and productivity.

We specialize in improving efficiency and productivity while improving the employees ability to work safely. Manual material handling is one of the leading causes of injury. What I often find is that employers can make simple, inexpensive changes to the work arrangement that will achieve enhanced worker effectiveness, efficiency and safety

Safety Culture Development

A Process of Engaging Supervisors and Key Employees to Build a Positive Safety Culture

  • Is your organization achieving a level of safety performance that meets or exceeds your expectations?
  • Are front line supervisors adequately engaged in the safety process?

Senior managers often ask us, “How can we create a safety culture? How do we imbed safety into our culture so it is not just another flavor-of-the-month program?”

This question speaks to a sincere interest to integrate safety into the organization’s overall production and quality efforts.  We start the process by measuring managers’ & employees’ perception of safety effectiveness on a number of levels. The eye-opening experience that results from this process engages the entire organization in the culture question, ultimately leading to clearly articulated, actionable steps toward improving the culture.

Our safety training programs are designed to transform the culture from ‘not my fault’ to a culture of everyone owning their personal responsibility.

My experience in leadership positions enables me to bring real value to your team. As a professional trainer and executive for over 35 years, I provide engaging, relatable educational programs in leadership and supervisory development training and behavior-based safety coaching, training & mentoring.
